
NUREMBERG, Germany (Apr 12, 2025) – Mr. Sakis Pragalos from Greece has been re-elected unanimously as President of the European Taekwondo Union (ETU) during the General Assembly that took place on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at the Le Meridien Grand Hotel in Nuremberg, Germany.
The Assembly also supervised elections for the renewal of the ETU Council. Alongside President Pragalos’ re-election, four Vice Presidents, 14 Council Members, and one Auditor were elected.

In addition to the members who were elected, President Pragalos appointed five additional Vice Presidents:

He also designated In Seon Kim (USA) as the Honorary Vice President of the ETU. Furthermore, Antonio Barbarino (Germany) was reappointed as Secretary General, and Norbert Welu (Luxembourg) was appointed as Treasurer.

Ehatasamul Alom is an esteemed Taekwondo 3rd Dan Black Belt with over 12 years of experience in this dynamic martial art. His articles focus on Taekwondo training techniques, competition strategies, and the art’s rich history and philosophy. He also writes about the importance of mental fortitude and discipline, key aspects of his teaching philosophy. His goal is to inspire both beginners and seasoned practitioners worldwide through insightful and engaging content.
