Taekwondo Grand Prix: Game Rules and Instructions
This document provides a complete overview of the TaekwondoKing Taekwondo Grand Prix game, including its core rules, button functionality, and win/loss conditions.
Objective
Your goal is to defeat your opponent in a 5-round match. The winner of each round is the first player to reach 10 points. The overall winner of the match is the player who wins the most rounds.
Scoring
Points are awarded for successful attacks:
- Body Kick: 1 point
- Head Kick: 3 points
- Special Attack: 5 points
The first player to reach 10 points wins the round. If the time limit for the round runs out, the player with the higher score wins the round. If the scores are tied, the round is a draw.
Game Structure
The match consists of 5 rounds.
- Each round has a 60-second time limit.
- After each round, the scores are reset to zero, and the game proceeds to the next round.
- Once all 5 rounds are complete, a Match Report will appear, detailing the scores and winners of each round and declaring the overall match winner.
Controls
All game actions are performed using the on-screen buttons. The game will automatically start when you press one of the action buttons for the first time.
- Body Kick: This button initiates a body kick, worth 1 point. This is a quick and effective way to gain points.
- Head Kick: This button initiates a head kick, worth 3 points. This is a higher-risk, higher-reward move.
- Block: This button allows you to block an opponent’s incoming attack. Successfully blocking prevents your opponent from scoring.
- Special Attack: This powerful attack is only available when your Power Meter is full. It grants you a significant 5 points upon a successful hit. Using this attack will reset your Power Meter to zero.
Winning and Losing
- Round Win: To win a round, you must be the first to reach 10 points or have more points than your opponent when the timer runs out.
- Match Win: The overall match is won by the player who wins the most rounds out of the total of 5. The final report will show who won each round and who is the ultimate winner.
- Pausing and Resetting: The Pause button will freeze the game, and the Reset button will return all scores and rounds to their initial state, allowing you to start a new match from the beginning.
