
GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. – Police arrested a 74-year-old man, Jimmy Ronald Anderson. He is charged with sexually abusing children he taught in Taekwondo classes. The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office charged Anderson with five counts of child sexual abuse. This follows an investigation lasting several months.
Deputies started investigating on April 22nd. They received information claiming Anderson abused a victim during lessons. These lessons happened as far back as the 1980s. According to arrest papers, the victim reported abuse at different ages: 4, 7, 10, and 14 years old.
Police say the abuse first happened at Anderson’s Taekwondo studio. That studio was on South Buncombe Road in Greer. Other abuse incidents happened at two other studios Anderson used to run. These were on West Poinsett Street and West Wade Hampton Boulevard.
During the investigation, two more victims came forward. They separately accused Anderson of sexually abusing them. State police confirmed Anderson is a convicted sex offender. He is currently listed on the state’s sex offender registry. Anderson has a prior conviction. In 2003, he was found guilty of a serious violent assault.

Officers arrested Anderson in Landrum. He was taken to the Greenville County jail. He is being held there without bond.
