
Taekwondo with Sustainable DeveloSEOUL, Korea (Apr. 15, 2025) — Yesterday, World Taekwondo and the Kyung Hee University Graduate School of Pan-Pacific International Studies (KHU GSP) entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to collaboratively develop educational programs related to Taekwondo and enhance the capabilities of students who aim to pursue careers in international sports organizations.
The signing event was held at the WT Headquarters in Seoul, with the presence of World Taekwondo President Chungwon Choue, Secretary General Jeongkang Seo, KHU GSP Dean Hahnkyu Park, Vice Dean Taehwan Yoo, and other significant representatives from both entities.

Through this strategic partnership, World Taekwondo and KHU GSP will work together in these primary domains:
1. Development of hands-on training programs and capacity-building avenues for KHU GSP students targeting careers in international sports;
2. Collaborative creation and worldwide promotion of Taekwondo educational initiatives that align with global priorities;
3. Organization of cooperative projects connecting Taekwondo with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs);
4. Investigation of further collaborative possibilities to enhance global outreach through Taekwondo.
“This partnership with KHU GSP is completely in line with World Taekwondo’s dedication to advancing education through Taekwondo and integrating the principles of our sport with global priorities such as sustainable development,” stated World Taekwondo President Choue. “It will also enable us to gain from the efforts of students who are aspiring to engage in international sports organizations while providing them with a fresh opportunity for practical experience. ”
WT and KHU GSP are dedicated to closely collaborating to execute influential joint projects that empower future global leaders and broaden the influence of Taekwondo through education.

Ehatasamul Alom is an esteemed Taekwondo 3rd Dan Black Belt with over 12 years of experience in this dynamic martial art. Born in Rajshahi, Bangladesh, Ehatasamul’s journey with Taekwondo began at the tender age of seven. His passion led him to compete at national and international levels, where he has bagged numerous awards and honors. He is also a member of the Taekwondo National Referee Panel.
With a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Science from the prestigious Rajshahi University, Ehatasamul has a deep understanding of the technical and scientific aspects of martial arts and some other martial arts.
In 2022, Ehatasamul created the “TaekwondoKing.com” blog to share his knowledge and experiences. His articles focus on Taekwondo training techniques, competition strategies, and the art’s rich history and philosophy. He also writes about the importance of mental fortitude and discipline, key aspects of his teaching philosophy. His goal is to inspire both beginners and seasoned practitioners worldwide through insightful and engaging content.
